Each school day (Lafayette School Corporation's calendar) several volunteers from our congregation help at Miller School during the lunch hour.  We are able to talk with the children, help keep things flowing smoothly and just generally show the children and staff that we care.  This ministry gets us out into our community and allows us to be God's hands and feet to His precious children.

We will be continuing our ministry at Miller School for the 2010-2011 school year.  This will be the fourth year for ECC to have a presence in the school.

We are looking for individuals who are willing to spend 1 to 2 hours over the lunch hour (Lunch Buddies) to talk with children and just generally be their friend.  There are many children in the school that would greatly benefit from additional adult interaction on a regular basis.

We are in our second year of the weekend backpack food ministry for Miller School.  We will be filling backpacks with non-perishable items for around 90 Miller School families.  This will be a weekly ministry during the school year.  We will need volunteers in several areas.
