TO FOLLOW JESUS...

There are points on every journey where the level of commitment gets ratcheted up.  We conquer the foothills and find ourselves staring at the mountain before us, ready to begin the climb.  To Follow Jesus is to enter the second circle, those places, events and environments through which we embrace the calling to be transformed by the Word, the Spirit and the Community, to become more like Christ in our relationships, behaviors and lifestyles.  This calls for a stronger, more intense level of commitment than those who have not yet moved beyond the first circle in the process.  Small Groups, Christian Formation classes and special retreats and seminars focused on growing in Christ provide entry points into this narrower circle of the faith journey.  But there is still more to this Great Adventure of Faith.  We must not only come to know God and learn to follow Jesus; we must also pursue God's purposes in the world.
