Greetings, ECC family! I’m very excited to give you this update on what worship will be looking like while I’m away on maternity leave. As you know, Sam and I are expecting our second daughter very soon. While we’re very excited about this new season and transition for our family, I am sad to not be worshipping with you all for a while.
That said, I want to introduce you to our Interim Worship Director, Katie (Fultz) Martin! Katie has graciously agreed to step into my shoes and take over leading worship on Sunday mornings. I’m very excited for you all, as I know she has a genuine heart for worship and love for the Lord. Her talent and passion for worship is already a blessing to me, and I know it will be for you all as well over the next two months. I’m excited to see how God uses the gifts Katie has to bless our congregation and worship services!
Katie will be taking over leading worship on Sunday, April 21, and will lead for the next 2 months before I return. You’ll be seeing our regular lay leaders also helping out towards the end of my leave. While Katie will be leading worship services on the music side, our very own Katarina Webb will be taking over the AV department to keep the tech side of our services going in my absence. I am so grateful for these two women, their gifts, and their willingness to serve us in these ways. If you see either of them in the next few weeks, don’t hesitate to join me in welcoming them to the leadership team!
Katie Martin is excited to be rejoining her ECC family. She remembers growing up sitting in the congregation listening to Pastor Stacey preach and watching her mom be a leader on the worship team. Katie has a degree in Music Education, but is taking a break from teaching elementary music to be at home with her daughter. Her family includes her husband, Dominic, and her daughter, Makenna. As a family, the Martin’s love to play board games, read, spend time at the park, and go on hiking adventures. Katie has always had a heart for worship and is looking forward to connecting with you all over the following weeks.
