Thank you to all our leaders, families and children who made our week of Summer XP 2023 at Miller Elementary School such a memorable and fun one! We were encouraged by our week’s memory verse, Romans 14:19: “So let’s strive for the things that bring peace and the things that build each other up.”
We had just over 50 kids register for the week with us, and we used the ECC bus to pick up children in the local neighborhood each night. At Summer XP, we fed children and families a delicious dinner, sang fun and playful songs with lots of movement, opened God’s word to learn a Bible story, got kids moving with games, did hands-on science projects that connected to the lesson, and had so much fun together!
We had an incredible team of 60 people who served at Summer XP and gave so generously of their time and talents. We celebrate that so many adults and teens joined us to serve, and we celebrate all the ways that those who served were able to get to know each other a little better as well. Thank you to each and every one of you for being a blessing to children and families all week long!
