Advent is a season marked by expectancy and preparation. It is actually the beginning of the Christian calendar year. Advent lasts between 20 to 28 days (depending on the year), ending on December 24. During Advent we wait in anticipation of both the birth of a little baby who will come to make all things new and the return of Christ when He will restore all things.
It is a season where we are invited to be intentional to reflect on the ways the kingdom of God is breaking out among and through us as we make room for His presence in our hearts and lives, as we take steps along the path of our journey with Jesus.
In our December sermon series, All I Want for Christmas, we will explore together what Christmas really means. As a companion, we are offering different resources for your use to create space to connect with God. A prayer practice will be included in the e-letter and a scripture reading in Friday's daily scripture email each week during Advent.
